Who are we?
CNAC-NAVB, the prevention organization of the Belgian construction industry, was established in 1964 by the Joint Industrial Committee. Our aim is to promote well-being at work in the construction industry, focusing on the prevention of industrial accidents and occupational diseases. The construction workers’ safety and health on site have been our first concern for almost 45 years.
We are there for you!
Advice on site
Our 20 advisers visit construction sites. By giving advice and information on the subject of well-being at work, they help the construction companies pursue a dynamic prevention policy.

The campaign “Building: our work, our life”
Since 2002, CNAC-NAVB and the construction industry’s management and trade unions conduct a safety campaign to reduce the number of industrial accidents and occupational diseases. 2006 saw the start of target-group-oriented campaigns, first for roofers, then for road workers and finishing occupations. These campaigns consist of a prevention phase comprising two components (organized actions along with a media campaign) followed by a maintenance phase. One of the things companies belonging to the target group can do, is sign a campaign charter, thus committing themselves to promote safety in their organization.
